Leadership

Our Leadership and Coaching programs take an innovative and unique approach to personal and professional development.  This approach challenges participants to engage in non-linear, non-verbal communication realms to help them connect head, heart and body.  Participants work through a series of facilitated exercises with horses as their guides.

Horses respond to our behavioral patterns, providing us with honest and clear feedback about our current strengths and areas for improvement.

Horses reflect back to us the alignment or misalignment between what we are saying and what we are actually doing. Horses innately listen and act with their whole body in response to what is happening in the present moment, not what may have happened earlier or what might happen in the future.

Through these exercises, participants develop ability to:

  • Engage individuals and teams towards common goals and interests
  • Build and maintain relationships founded on trust
  • Change behavioral patterns and have more emotional agility
  • Recognize and practice effective leadership styles
  • Assess potential choices for decision making, both in daily life and in crisis
  • Understand themselves and others more deeply
  • Clarify intent and move from communicating to connecting

The Equine Guided Leadership Experience (EGLE) compliments personal, professional and sales development initiatives.

Leadership_White_HorseDeveloping a New Leadership Paradigm

Leadership as we know it is undergoing an evolution, if not a revolution. The static leader / follower paradigm is shifting in response to the challenges presented in the 21st century.  Today's leaders are faced with several factors that strain the leadership model of the past: a global economy, the distributed nature of today's workforce and the uncertainty of the current economic climate. Leaders are being challenged to navigate through uncharted territory. The issues facing today's leaders are to:

  • Be flexible, aware and resilient
  • Collaborate and innovate
  • Inspire others through uncharted territory

Leaders can no longer rely on intellectual information alone as their guidepost into the 21st Century. Concepts such as Emotional and Social Intelligence have emerged as core requirements for leaders, citing the importance of non-cognitive aspects as critical, relevant and essential sources of information.

"The most important thing in communication is hearing what isn't said." - Peter F. Drucker
